Our Order OMSDT-USA, Ordre Militaire Suprême Des Templiers or the Supreme Military Order of the Knights Templar. OMSDT Knights Templar, we are a 501c3 non profit Religious Organization.
We are an American Order, we are a fraternal Order that exists to spread the word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to follow his teachings, while at the same time honoring the traditions of our Templar brothers of the past.
We work to spread the light of Christ in an increasingly dark world. Our Order strives for the highest ideals and draws its inspiration from the ancient Order of the Temple. We strive to be the spiritual and philosophical heirs to the ancient Knights Templar founded by Hugues de Payens in 1118.
Historically, the Knights Templar were a Christian order of warrior monks. Named for the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the Templars initially protected pilgrims traveling through the Holy Land, but eventually evolved into a powerful military force that waged war to protect the Holy Land during the Crusades.

As Frontline Partners, we stand with persecuted Christians by helping wherever support is needed most; through programs such as trauma counseling, safe houses, providing Bibles, emergency aid, rebuilding of churches and more! This is part of our Order's mission and reflects our Order's motto:
"Defenders of the Faith"
Motto description: "The original Knights Templars defended Christian pilgrims in their travels to the Holy Land and defended the faith in general. As modern Templars, we cannot perform the original mission, but we can partner with organizations that help persecuted Christians worldwide."
Along with our monthly monetary commitment, our members assist Global Christian Relief by sending post cards and writing emails to persecuted Christians across the world, as well as be advocates and social media influencers for the organization.
In addition to the main mission of the Grand Priory, local Priories engage in service projects that benefit their local community. Priory members tap into their members' own skill sets and see where they can assist community organizations using those skills.
Members may also create their own service projects; such as cleaning up local areas of their communities like parks or campgrounds on a regular basis. They may also start a food drive in conjunction with with local food banks. Creating outreach projects is also important to share our love of Christ with those around us.

✠Bible Study and Roundtable Meetings✠
We use Zoom for our Bible studies and Roundtable meetings. Each is held twice a month, Bibles Studies 2nd & 4th Sundays and Roundtables 1st & 3rd Thursdays. A great way to share in fellowship and build Brotherhood with all members.
✠Chaplain Corps✠
Ordained Ministers may apply to join our team, we have amazing Chaplains who minister to our growing community.
Grand Chaplain Kelmy Rodriquez oversees the Chaplain Corps.
Chaplain Corps Motto: To serve God, Family, Our Templar Brothers and Sisters and the World.
Our mission is to provide spiritual guidance, care and growth for the Order through Bible study, worship, prayer, and fellowship.

Our Order has it's own Social Platform to conduct Order business and for member fellowship. Unlike facebook, we control the site and have a safe site for members, without the fear of being targeted, censored or removed. While we do also use Facebook for public relations, recruitment and to also spread the word of God, while sharing the Knights Templar history.

The OMSDT-USA is committed to providing our Templars with a solid foundation and support as they embark on their Templar path. To educate, train, and inspire each Templar to embrace and exercise their own God-given gifts and leadership style.

We are excited to serve our Templar community with many cool products. We offer a great selection of Order items as well and other Knights Templar designs. We have OMSDT Apparel-Templar Apparel-Mugs-Hats-Beanies-Tote Bags-Water bottles and more. The proceeds from the sales of merchandise helps to fund various Order expenses and works of charity. We also hold fundraiser Shirt sales to help support Global Christian Relief as we are Front Line Partners with them and all proceeds from those sales go directly to them. ✠National Headquarters✠
Our Order OMSDT is blessed, honored and proud to have a wonderful historical location in New Mexico. Loretto Chapel to serve as our National Headquarters. This location is not only our home for our Order, but also serves as our Conclave location for our OMSDT Investitures. Being knighted at Loretto Chapel will be a blessing and we cannot think of a better place other than the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem to continue investing new knights for our Lord's service.

OMSDT projects and mission statement spotlights our Order's commitment to helping Christians and spreading the gospel across the earth. Our Order and it's members believe in serving and try to help in direct ways that impacts the lives of the less fortunate, helping on the local, national and international communities.
✠Templar News Newletter✠
Templar News - OMSDT The Order's newsletter is published on the 1st day of each month. It provides a calendar of upcoming events and is also a recap of events that have taken place in the Order, such as charity events, acknowledging Academie class completions, highlighting the Order's protocol and procedures, Chaplains column, as well as historical tidbits.
The 12th century Cistercian Abbot, Bernard of Clairvaux wrote, ”The Knight Templar is truly a fearless knight and secure on every side, for his soul is protected by the armor of faith just as his body is protected by armor of steel. He is thus doubly armed and need fear neither demons nor men. Not that he fears death–no, he desires it. Why should he fear to live or fear to die when for him to live is Christ, and to die is gain?”
We are searching for like-minded individuals to stand shield to shield, in defense of Christianity, persecuted Christians, widows, orphans and the needy. Our Order vows to hold to the virtues of Honesty, Loyalty, Perseverance, Charity, Humility, Courage and Honor and we take those vows seriously. In contrast to much of today’s society, this Order calls Knights and Dames to live a committed life of purpose under the Godhead Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. . Our Order has no Masonic or political affiliations. The Knights Templar are a Christian (Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox) fraternal and chivalric Order. We are ecumenical meaning we are not affiliated with any single denomination but represent all of Christendom.
In contrast to much of today’s society, with people moving from place to place, and from relationship to relationship, this Order calls Knights and Dames to live a committed life of purpose.
God is calling a new generation of Knights Templar today. Being a Knight Templar means living a life of purpose and meaning and by taking a stand for what is right in our families, community, and nation. It means being part of an ancient holy order that has been around for 895 years. Being a Knight Templar is not a remnant of the past, it is a way of life.
It will not be easy, but the transformation into a Knight Templar will change your life. The US Priory of the Knights Templar is looking for upstanding Christians who want to become exceptional. The reward of Knighthood in this ancient and storied Order awaits you. Do you dare to try? The monetary costs are minimal but Knights and Dames are called to great commitment to a purpose bigger than themselves. It is only for those of true faith who are serious about the vows of Knighthood.

St Helena, favorite Saint of Grand Master Rick Trujillo of OMSDT-USA
Saint Helena is a painting by Cima Da Conegliano.
St. Helena, the mother of Constantine I, is believed to have discovered the cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified.
Born in Bithynia, Asia Minor (present-day Turkey), circa 248, St. Helena was married to Roman Emperor Constantius and had a son who would become Constantine I, also known as Constantine the Great, the first Roman emperor to become a Christian. St. Helena, who converted as well, oversaw the construction of churches on Holy Land sites. She would later be credited with discovering the cross upon which Jesus Christ is believed to have been crucified. St. Helena died circa 328 in Nicomedia (present-day Turkey).
Order History
Our Grand Masters are elected, just as it has been done since the beginning of the Order. The position of Grand Master cannot be passed on through anyone’s will or by being the heir of a Grand Master. Any, so-called, “Templar” Order that uses those claims to support the Grand Master succession is not legitimate.
Our Order was restored by His Imperial Majesty, Napoleon Bonaparte, by imperial decree in 1807. In 1853, it was given recognition by Emperor Napoleon III. In 1918, the Order was re-registered in France in accordance with French law. On January 19th, 1932, it was registered in Brussels, Belgium: 1957 Namur / Belgium BE-410 20708. This recording was done by three Belgian Templars in Brussels, Joseph Cleeremans, Gustave Jonckbloedt and Théodore Covias. The record of the registration of the “Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem” appears in the Belgian Monitor on January 20, 1933. Lastly, our Order was re-registered in Namur, Belgium, on November 15th, 1975.

Grand Master Rick Trujillo

In April of 2022 Sir Rick Trujillo who was the Grand Seneschal of the OSMTJ of America left the order due to all of the animosity that was left in the wake of the separation to pursue and create a new order of the Knights Templar, the OMSDT-U.S.A. the Supreme Military Order of the Knights Templar "Ordre Militaire Suprême Des Templiers".
Sir Trujillo has extensive leadership experience and served in the OSMTJ for many years becoming Prior"leader"over 3 priories within the United States Grand Priory, organizing a bible drive for the newly acquired Templar Church and holding the position of Grand Inculator and Vice President of operations of the Templar Academy of America.
He is the recipient of the Medal of Merit as well as the Knights Grand Cross, the orders highest honor.
