This Priory is led by GP Derek Nordio, he was knighted in 2019.
After serving as a Master Commander earned new rank of Prior on July 1, 2020. On March 26, 2022, I was appointed to the position of National Video Director.
I served as Grand Seneschal from June 25 to Sept 20, 2022, when I had the honor of becoming the Order's Grand Prior on September 20, 2022. On July 14th 2024 I was awarded by our Grand Master the OMSDT Silver Star for actions and service above and beyond the call of duty with an unwavering commitment to the Order. On November 14th 2024 Grand Master Rick Trujillo presented Grand Prior Derek Nordio with the OMSDT Merit Award for his leadership role in OMSDT.
History of St Evaristus
Pous Evaristus was die vyfde pous van die Katolieke Kerk as biskop van Rome vanaf c. 99 tot sy dood c. 107. Hy was ook bekend as Aristus en word vereer as 'n heilige in die Oosters-Ortodokse Kerk, die Katolieke Kerk en Oosterse Ortodoksie. Hy word dikwels met 'n swaard voorgestel omdat hy onthoof is, of met 'n krip, omdat daar geglo word dat hy in Bethlehem gebore is, waaruit sy pa geëmigreer het. Die instelling van kardinale priesters word deur sommige aan hom toegeskryf, omdat hy Rome eers in verskeie titels of gemeentes verdeel het, en aan elkeen 'n priester toegewys; hy het ook sewe diakens aangestel om die biskop by te woon. Hy word in die Vatikaan, naby Sint Petrus, begrawe.
