Bathroom and School
The OMSDT Knights Templar are proud to announce the successful fundraising efforts of our Order to help improve the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda.
Working alongside the Ronsen Hope Christian Foundation, our Order members donated sufficient funds to support the reconstruction of the orphanage's bathrooms and repairs to the school roof, helping provide children with safer structures, improved sanitation, and a healthier environment in which to live, learn, and grow. This charitable project represents much more than repairing buildings. It is about restoring dignity, providing hope, protecting children's well-being, and demonstrating the love of Christ through meaningful action.
Through the generosity and compassion of OMSDT, our members and supporters, we are putting our commitment to Christian charity into practice, reaching beyond borders to help those in need and make a lasting difference in the lives of these children. As Knights Templar, we believe our calling extends beyond the mantle and the sword. True service is demonstrated through our actions, our compassion, and our willingness to help others. Being a Templar is not just about ceremonies and traditions, but about putting Christian faith into action.

OMSDT donated $2,800.00 towards this project, providing enough funding not only to rebuild/ upgrade the bathrooms but also rebuild the school roof. We are so happy to have been able to do this and bless these kids witha much better enviroment at the orphanage.
The current bathrooms had severe cracks in the walls and foundation. Drainage was also a problem, causing some of the foundation issues.
Demolition began with the removal of the damaged walls and foundation. After repairing the foundation, new block walls were constructed.
A skim coat was applied over the block walls, followed by an undercoat and a final coat of paint in bright, cheerful colors for the children.

With the extra funds OMSDT donated, the school roof was able to be rebuilt as it was failing to support the current roof. A new wooden support structure was installed beneath the school roof, allowing the existing metal roofing to be reused.
With a newly reinforced support structure beneath the metal roof, the children and staff at Rosen Hope Christian Center can now enjoy a safer and more secure learning environment. The fear of a weakened roof giving way or collapsing into the classrooms, potentially injuring innocent children, can finally be put behind them.
Before these improvements, the deteriorating roof structure presented a serious concern for the safety and well-being of everyone attending the school. Every child deserves a safe place to learn, grow, and receive an education without the worry of a dangerous building overhead. A strong roof does more than protect a building. It protects the hopes, dreams, and futures of the children beneath it.
