This Priory is led by GP Derek Nordio, he was knighted in 2019.
After serving as a Master Commander earned new rank of Prior on July 1, 2020. On March 26, 2022, I was appointed to the position of National Video Director.
I served as Grand Seneschal from June 25 to Sept 20, 2022, when I had the honor of becoming the Order's Grand Prior on September 20, 2022. On July 14th 2024 I was awarded by our Grand Master the OMSDT Silver Star for actions and service above and beyond the call of duty with an unwavering commitment to the Order. On November 14th 2024 Grand Master Rick Trujillo presented Grand Prior Derek Nordio with the OMSDT Merit Award for his leadership role in OMSDT.
History of St Evaristus
Papa Evaristus fu il quinto papa della Chiesa cattolica essendo vescovo di Roma dal c. 99 alla sua morte c. 107. Era conosciuto anche come Aristus ed è venerato come santo nella Chiesa ortodossa orientale, nella Chiesa cattolica e nell'Ortodossia orientale. Viene spesso rappresentato con una spada perché decapitato, o con un presepe, perché si crede sia nato a Betlemme, da cui emigrò suo padre. Gli è da alcuni attribuita l'istituzione dei cardinali sacerdoti, perché prima divise Roma in più titoli o parrocchie, assegnando a ciascuna un sacerdote; nominò anche sette diaconi per assistere il vescovo. È sepolto in Vaticano, vicino a San Pietro.
